 Hey there!

Do you ever find yourself having full-on conversations with your furry friends? I sure do! I talk to all animals like they're my BFFs, and sometimes, I swear they talk back (in their own way, of course)! 🐶🐱 It might sound a bit quirky, but I genuinely believe they understand us, especially the tone we use.


Let me share a little story with you about my border collie. We used to live on a farm, but then we moved to town, and she took it upon herself to become the neighborhood's official watchdog. Let's just say the neighbors weren't exactly fans of her enthusiastic barking serenades. 🏡🐕


I was ready to go to battle for her, but my mom and husband wisely advised against it. Instead, we decided she'd live on my parents' real farm—a good seven-hour drive away. Cue the dilemma of how to explain this move to her. For a week before she left, I'd tell her every day what was going to happen—how she'd get a little sleepy with some medicine, snuggle up on her favorite blanket in the car, and wake up to a new adventure on the farm. 🚗💤🌳


I made sure to mention all her future pals by name, promised her plenty of playtime with her beloved tire-on-a-rope, and assured her she'd go jogging with my dad. Most importantly, I let her know we'd come visit her often. 🐾✨

 One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my teaching journey is this: ✨ You’re not everyone’s cup of tea—and that’s perfectly fine.
